Popular Link Products

Link makes an aluminum ramp for every major cargo van available in the US. Below are popular ramps from Link.

About Link Manufacturing

Link Manufacturing was founded in 1980 in Sioux Center, Iowa, and began with the development of truck cab suspension systems. About a decade later, the company expanded into cargo management products — specifically, mounted and portable aluminum ramps for commercial vans and trucks. That focus on ramps has remained the core of their commercial vehicle product line ever since.

Every Link ramp is built from high-strength extruded aluminum — lightweight enough to deploy without a second person, durable enough for daily professional use, and resistant to the corrosion that shortens the life of steel alternatives. The mounted ramps (LB10, LB20, LSR90, LT30) store vertically inside the van door opening, keeping them protected from weather and road debris while in transit. The portable ramps (LWS40, LS50) give the same aluminum construction in a no-install format for operations that need flexibility across multiple vehicles or loading locations.

Link's warranty on mounted ramp products is one year, covering defects in manufacturing and materials for the original purchaser. The warranty does not apply to damage caused by non-Link accessories or incorrect maintenance. Link's ramps have been in commercial use for over 30 years and consistently earn strong reviews from operators who load and unload equipment daily.

Choosing the Right Link Ramp

The most important decisions when choosing a Link ramp are: mounted vs. portable, rear door vs. side door, and bifold vs. trifold vs. swivel.

Mounted or portable? If your team loads and unloads from the same van multiple times per day, a mounted ramp is the right call — it's always there, deploys in seconds, and doesn't require anyone to carry or position a ramp before each use. Portable ramps make sense when the van changes frequently, when you need ramp access at a fixed location (loading dock), or when budget requires a lower upfront cost.

Rear door or side door? Most vans load from the rear, making the LB20 the most common choice. If your workflow requires side loading — particularly in RAM ProMaster or other vans where the side door gives better access — the LB10 mounts cleanly in the sliding door opening.

Bifold, trifold, or swivel? Bifold covers most applications — it folds in half and the maximum ramp length is determined by your van's interior door height. If you need a longer ramp than bifold allows (lower loading angle for heavy equipment), the LT30 trifold adds a section to achieve more length in the same door height. If your team frequently needs rear access without loading — swinging the ramp aside rather than deploying it — the LSR90 swivel eliminates that friction.

Link Ramps by Van Model

Portable ramps (LWS40, LS50) are not vehicle-specific and work with any van, box truck, or loading dock.

Frequently Asked Questions — Link Manufacturing Ramps

What is the difference between a mounted van ramp and a portable ramp?

A mounted ramp permanently installs inside your van's rear or side doorway and deploys in seconds — it stores vertically in the dead space next to the door opening and stays with the van. Link's mounted lineup includes the LB10 (side door), LB20 (rear door, with optional spring assist), LT30 (trifold for longer deployments), and LSR90 (swivel, 90° or 180° rotation). A portable ramp is not installed — it's positioned as needed and moved between applications. Choose mounted if your team loads from the same van multiple times daily. Choose portable if you need ramp flexibility across vehicles or locations.

What is the difference between a bifold and a trifold van ramp?

Both are mounted ramp styles. A bifold (LB10, LB20) folds in half — maximum deployed length is limited by your van's interior door height since the folded ramp must stand upright inside. A trifold (LT30) has three sections, allowing a longer deployed ramp to fit within the same door height constraint. If you need a lower loading angle but have limited roof clearance at the rear door, the trifold is the solution. Both fold to roughly 7.5 inches in collapsed depth.

What is the Link LSR90 swivel ramp?

The LSR90 mounts at the rear door but rotates 90° or 180° on a pivot plate — swinging clear of the door opening when you need rear access without deploying the ramp. Two locking storage positions hold it in place when rotated. The ramp itself uses Link's bifold spring-assist mechanism. It's the best choice for operations that frequently alternate between loading and non-loading rear door access throughout the day.

What vans do Link ramps fit?

Link makes ramps for the Ford Transit, RAM ProMaster, Mercedes Sprinter, Mercedes Metris, Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, and Nissan NV. Mounted ramps are sized to specific door openings and roof heights — always confirm door width and interior height for your van model before ordering. Portable ramps are not vehicle-specific. Contact us if you need help confirming compatibility.

Do Link van ramps include all required installation hardware?

Most Link mounted ramps include standard mounting hardware. Some van floor installations — particularly bare metal floors without pre-drilled holes — require plusnut (rivet nut) fasteners that are not included in the standard kit. Before ordering, let our team know your van model and floor configuration and we'll confirm whether you need additional hardware. It's much easier to order it all at once than to track it down on installation day.

What is the weight capacity of Link van ramps?

Capacity varies by model and length. LB10 side door: up to 1,000 lbs. LB20 rear door: up to 1,500 lbs. on most lengths (1,000 lbs. on 126" option). LT30 trifold: up to 1,500 lbs. LWS40 portable lightweight: 350–500 lbs. LS50 portable heavy duty: 750–1,000 lbs. (750 lbs. on lengths 99" and longer). LSR90 swivel: varies by configuration.

What warranty does Link Manufacturing offer?

Link offers a 1-year limited warranty on mounted ramp products covering manufacturing defects and material defects for the original purchaser. The warranty requires correct maintenance and does not apply to damage caused by non-Link accessories. Contact Upfit Supply for warranty support on any Link product purchased through us.
