If you will be drilling into your van or truck bed to install shelving, racks, holders, partition, or other accessories, a drill stop will help prevent you from drilling too deep into the wall, floor, or ceiling of the van. Drilling too deep can cause irreversible damage to your vehicle, including puncturing the body or roof, puncturing fuel tank, puncturing exhaust, severing wiring, etc.
