The EZGLIDE2™ Drop-Down Ladder Rack is one of the safest, lightest, and most efficient ladder handling systems available for mid- and high-roof cargo vans. Designed to reduce strain and prevent injury, this smart solution allows you to load and unload ladders faster and with less effort. As a result, your team stays safer and more productive on the job.
Compatible with Ford Transit, RAM ProMaster, Nissan NV, and Mercedes Sprinter vans, the EZGLIDE2™ system features a unique slide-down mechanism. This allows the ladder to extend an additional 2 feet after rotation, bringing it within reach for easier handling.
EZGLIDE2 Ladder Rack: Built for Professionals Who Value Safety and Speed
With job site efficiency in mind, the EZGLIDE2™ Drop-Down Ladder Rack is constructed from lightweight aluminum. This not only maximizes your van’s roof capacity, but also maintains durability and strength. The included single-side drop-down system can be mounted on either the driver or passenger side. Additionally, you can convert it to a dual-drop system with an optional add-on—ideal for teams that carry multiple ladders or need side access.
This ladder rack accommodates a wide range of equipment:
-
20 ft to 40 ft extension ladders
-
6 ft to 10 ft step ladders
-
3 ft to 8 ft podium ladders
Hydraulic Drop-Down Ladder Rack System for Smooth Operation and Secure Storage
Thanks to its smooth roller track and dual hydraulic dampers, the EZGLIDE2™ operates with minimal physical effort. As you lower the ladder, the system remains controlled and stable. Furthermore, interlocking ladder supports keep your equipment secure in transit, while integrated clamps keep the telescoping handle neatly out of the way.
Moreover, the standout slide-down feature lowers the ladder an extra 2 feet beyond the rotation point. This makes it significantly easier to load and unload—especially from taller vans.
Installation and Compatibility Made Easy
The EZGLIDE2™ is designed for a perfect fit with WEATHER GUARD mounting channel kits tailored to your van model:

Great ladder rack for tall vans. Mine was missing a few carriage bolts but other than that it’s a quality product and I would recommend it

Again the price is quite high for what it is. It does work well however, For the Ford High top van it could go down a little lower. I’m 5’8″ and I still have a hard time getting a ladder off the lower rear section. The installation instructions are less than desirable. Looking for a video there is only one and its speed up so you can’t see what part and bolt or screw is being used. Also the bolts are of all different sizes. Why have not have a bolt that uses the same tool. Instead there are hex bolts, Allen bolts and flat top carriage bolts. Some of the bolt and nuts are so close that you can only use the open end of a wrench to tighten it up. You also have disassemble some of it get the piece that goes into the track to fit in correctly. I think you should rewrite the instructions and add some more pictures. This would cut the install time down considerably.
