Description
The J1000 & J2000 for the 2014+ Transit Connect is an aerodynamically designed rack system that can fit onto the Transit Connects factory bolt. The A285 crossbars are reinforced aluminum with channels and can support 400 lbs. The mounting bases have a footprint of 2.75″ X 1.25″. The optional accessories include Side Supports, Ladder Stoppers and Hook & Loop Staps. The 4″ Side Supports prevent material from sliding off the vehicle. The Ladder Stopper prevent ladders from sliding forward (can be adjustable from 4″-6″ in height). The hook & loop Strap secures ladders in place within seconds.
The Vantech J series system for the Ford Transit Connect 2014-On bolts onto factory mounting points. . The A285 crossbar is an aluminum extrusion with a reinforced skeletal design to increase its strength. The crossbars have built-in channels to add additional accessories. The mounting bases is made from 4mm thick aluminum.

Can you put a 4 by 8 sheet of material on this ladder rack.
The crossbars are 50" wide. You will want to check the distance between the roof mounting points on your van to see if you would need a 2-bar or 3-bar system to fit a 4 x 8 sheet of material.

How do the racks attach to the roof, is it a no drill installation?
No drilling. This attaches to the factory mounting points on the roof of the van.

The rack is great very well made easy to identify parts went together easy. I got 3 bar system so 3rd was under liner this was difficult but not due to design .Highly recommend van tech ladder rack!!
