Built into this heavy-duty truck step is a roller mechanism that allows the step to be folded up, keeping it out of the way during travel or when backing up. The counter-balanced design keeps the step in the folded position, and the innovative roller mechanism enables the step to auto-stow on contact, to avoid being damaged when backing into a loading dock or other obstruction. This model of the HighRise semi truck step fits virtually any 3-inch x 2-inch bumper beam. It installs easily with an included adapter bracket and four bolts, fitting various semi trailers, box trucks and flat decks. The minimum pocket size for this step is 13 inches wide x 15.75 inches deep from the back of the bumper in the stored position. It requires 15.625 inches from the bottom of the bumper to the deck, and 4.375 inches of ground clearance below the bumper.
