Before You Start
Let the BedRug Impact Liner RAM 1500 lay flat before installing. It ships rolled or folded and will hold that shape. Lay it out and put some weight on it for 15–20 minutes. Have rubbing alcohol, a utility knife, and the adhesion promoter pad (included) ready.
Step-by-Step Installation for BedRug Impact Liner RAM 1500
Step 1: Let the Mat Relax
Flat for 15–20 minutes minimum before install.
Step 2: Attach Hook-and-Loop Strips to the Mat
Flip the mat over to the back side. Find the hook-and-loop pieces with red adhesive backing and attach to the appropriate contact points.
Step 3: Place the Mat in the Bed
Lift the liner into the bed and fold one side back to access the hook-and-loop strips.
Step 4: Prep the Bed Surface and Bond
Wipe the bed surface with rubbing alcohol where the hook-and-loop will contact it. Peel the red backing and press the liner down. Work from one side across.
Step 5: Cut the Tie-Down Access Points
Feel through the liner for your bed tie-down rings. Cut through with a utility knife.
Step 6: Install the Sidewalls
Wipe down sidewall surfaces with rubbing alcohol. Peel and stick the sidewall pieces from one end, pressing as you go.
Step 7: Install the Tailgate Section
T30 bit to remove tailgate bolts. Open tailgate panel, slide J-channel over the tailgate lip and center it. Re-thread bolts hand-tight. Clean plastic surface with adhesion promoter pad. Add hook-and-loop strips on the ridges. Peel and lay tailgate liner from one end, smoothing as you go.
Step 8: Final Press and Check
Press firmly on all sections. Check tie-down cutouts are clean, sidewalls are adhered, tailgate piece is smooth.
