Description

DuraTherm Ceiling Liners protect your ceiling and have many other benefits. A ceiling liner helps with sound deadening and plays a critical role in temperature control. The ceiling liner also provides a clean finished look that will make any mobile workplace more professional.

The liners are made of dual polypropylene outer skins laminated to a central fluted plastic core. The outer skin in backed with a foam and foil insulation resulting a 0.4-inch thick liner with an R value of 4-6 (with insulation).

The noise-deadening material and temperature control make for a quiet and comfortable environment. The lightweight, precision-cut and pre-drilled material, with included mounting hardware, provides quick and easy mounting of the liners.

DuraTherm Ceiling Liners can be purchased with an optional set of aluminum side sills that create a beautiful transition from wall to ceiling.

Why Use Cargo Van Liners?

Prevent Damage

In the daily use of your cargo van, there are many objects that can cause damage inside (and outside) the vehicle. Loose cargo and using your van as a mobile work site can result in accidental damage to the interior walls/doors. A recent customer told Legend that he put two nasty dents into the side of his vehicle within the first week of owning his brand new van. These dents cause the paint to crack and flake off on the exterior of the vehicle and can eventually lead to rusting.

Reduce Road Noise

Cargo vans’ thin outer steel panels are getting thinner by the year, and do very little in the way of reducing road noise. With the noise of the tires on the road, the creaking of the traveling vehicle, and sound of rocks or other debris flying up and hitting the vehicle, it can be quite irritating for the driver.

Control Temperatures

The temperature in a cargo van is often hard to keep stable. With only bare metal panels, it’s nearly impossible to hold the temperature steady. This means it’s too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. This can lead to problems with your cargo such as freezing or melting.

Installation Notes:

  • Attaches to vehicle using plastic push-in clips
  • Minor trimming of liner(s) may be required for installation
  • Liner is multiple pieces joined with a color-matched plastic joiner strip (except 130″ WB liner, which is only 1 piece)
  • Requires trimming (pre-scored) to accommodate foam blocks. Requires trimming (pre-scored) to accommodate factory lights.

    Was as long as shown in the instructions and YouTube video, couldn’t tuck into front factory headliner. Also 3 inches too narrow, leaving 1-1/2 inch gaps with side walls.

    Wish they mentioned that you have to cut a little of the insulation where it connects with the end panel to make it easier to connect.

Q & A

Are the ceiling liners paintable?? They look gray in the photos but are listed as white. How about wall paper? Will peel and stick paper adhere to this product? T. Wright asked on October 13, 2023

You have the option to purchash in grey or white. The grey color liner has a textured finish that would not work well for using adhesive paper. The white color is a smooth finish that would provide a good surface for adhesive.

This will fit in 2019 a Ford Transit 150 cargo van. Be sure to select the correct wheelbase, roof height and door configuration to ensure a proper fit.

Will these work with side cargo area barn doors? Are they difficult to install? Do I need a professional installer? Kat asked on May 25, 2022

The ceiling liner would work for a barn door/hinged style side door.

However if you were looking to get door liners, Legend does not make liners that fit the hinged style side door, only the side sliding doors.

The ceiling liner is relatively simple to install as long as you have a second pair of hands to help you get the liner into place and use the push rivets.
