What Comes in the Box
The Luverne Ram 1500 side entry steps ship in two boxes — one for the running boards, one for the mounting brackets. That's normal for a product this size. Because of the length, these typically ship LTL freight rather than standard UPS or FedEx. It takes a little longer, but the trade-off is less damage in transit. Inside the box you'll find an installation sheet with a parts list, torque specs, and bracket orientation. The boards come pre-assembled and wrapped in plastic sheeting to protect the finish during shipping. Hardware is included — washers, lock washers, and lock nuts for mounting to the vehicle.

How These Ram 1500 Side Entry Steps Are Built
The running boards themselves are stainless steel with a black powder coat finish. They're solid but not heavy — surprisingly light for their size. Each board has two large step pads (about 20 inches by 5.5 inches each) that cover your front and rear door openings. The grip surface is textured and non-skid, which is exactly what you want on a work truck.
There's a rubber gasket-style trim piece where the step sits against the truck to cut down on vibration or keep moisture from sitting behind the step. End caps are plastic, contoured, and protect the ends from rocks and debris. The full board measures about 85 inches end to end, with the inner span between caps right around 6 feet.
Six mounting brackets come in the box — three per side. Driver side brackets are identical to each other, same for passenger side. They attach to existing factory studs on the rocker panel, so it's a no-drill installation.
