What's in the Box
If you are building out a RAM ProMaster cargo van, the wheel wells are one of the first things that need to get covered. The ProMaster has larger wheel well protrusions than most other cargo vans - Transit and Sprinter included - and those exposed humps take damage fast in a working environment. The Welfit wheel well covers for RAM ProMaster are built specifically for that bigger footprint.
The covers arrive in a large box. Once you pull them out, the size makes sense: the ProMaster wheel well covers are bigger than the Transit or Sprinter versions to match those taller, more pronounced wheel humps. The exterior surface is a hardened black textured plastic built for working van environments, and the interior side uses a molded trunk-liner style material similar to what you would find in the trunk of a passenger car. Welfit manufactures components for the RV and automotive industries, and the construction quality reflects that background.
One detail specific to the ProMaster version: the mounting holes come pre-drilled but need to be punched out before installation. There are four of them. Take a look before you start and punch those out cleanly so the clips can seat properly. As with the other versions, no hardware is included - use Welfit wall liner clips or source your own Christmas tree push clips before you start.

What Makes the ProMaster Wheel Wells Different
The RAM ProMaster has a lower load floor than most other cargo vans. That lower floor height means the wheel wells protrude further into the cargo area relative to the floor level, which is why the ProMaster covers are sized differently from the Transit or Sprinter versions. If you have been inside a ProMaster and a Transit back to back, you will notice the ProMaster's wheel humps are more pronounced.
There is also an installation consideration that comes up more often on ProMasters than on other vans. The bottom flange on these covers is designed to go underneath the floor. If your ProMaster came from the factory with a glued-in floor that cannot be lifted, getting the flange underneath it cleanly is going to be difficult or impossible without removing the factory floor first. If you are starting a build from a bare van, this is not an issue - covers go in before the floor. But if you are adding these to a ProMaster that already has a factory floor, take that into account before ordering.
The ProMaster covers are also not left and right specific, which means either cover can go on either side. That simplifies the install and eliminates the risk of getting them mixed up.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these the same size as the Sprinter or Transit versions?
No. The ProMaster's lower load floor means the wheel wells protrude further than Transit or Sprinter, and the covers are sized specifically for that. Using a Sprinter or Transit cover on a ProMaster will not fit correctly.
Do these come as a pair or individually?
Individually. Order a quantity of two to get covers for both sides.
Can I install these without wall liners?
Yes, but you will need to supply your own fasteners. The four mounting holes align with existing holes in the van body, so no drilling is required.
What if my ProMaster already has a factory floor?
The bottom flange is designed to go under the floor. If your factory floor is glued down and cannot be lifted, fitting the flange underneath may not be possible without removing the floor first.
What order should I install these in a van build?
Wheel well covers first, then floor, then wall liners.
